Hey guys,
It's been a long time since I've been writing almost anything about the work I've done.
But now I started a blog section again so I wanted to share few photos that we recently shot.
Some time ago, my friends Katariina ja Hannan started talking about photos that could be something Vikings...ish or some kind of warrior photos with horses, because I've shot awesome photos with Katariina and her horse Alma before.
Male model at the photos is MMA fighter Hannan "The Humanterrier" Housmand https://www.facebook.com/Humanterrier/ and the lady at the photos is Katariina Cozmei who's horseback archer and teaches horseback archery with her husband Mihai Cozmei. https://www.facebook.com/livingarrowhorsebackarchery/
Hannan was interested about horses and viking styled photoshoot and we were talking about the photos with Katariina and she was instantly on board with our ideas.
Photos were shot at Katariina's and Mihai's ranch at Raisio, where they live and where the horses are. We also had Bea Wilen assisting Katariina with the horses because me and Hannan don't know anything about horses and Hannan doesn't even ride with horses.
But all went fine and we got awesome photos!
For those who are interested about the tech specs, I'll share lighting diagram and all the camera specs here:
Camera: Canon 6D camera body
Lens: Sigma 28-70 f/2.8
Aperture: f/6.3
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec.
ISO400
Focal length: 42mm
Photos where lit with one Godox AD360 Witstro with 35" (90 centimeter) white shoot through umbrella at camera right.
All the photos are composite images just because the weather was nice and the sun was shining so we couldn't get that dark and gloomy look straight at camera even if we wanted to.
Here's one Behind the scenes shot where you can see that the photos were shot in the middle of the woods. Woman with the red jacket is our awesome assistant Bea Wilen who's entertaining the horse called Nelli (The one at left is called "Tuli". Tuli means fire in Finnish).
The main image is actually a photo where both warriors are on a same horse because we shot both separatedly and those poses just went well together. We realised it after the photos were done but it works as an image well anyway. ;)
Main image were combined from these two portraits.
Special thanks you to Bea who was our assistant. We couldn't done this without her help.
